So much has happened since my last post! We’ve entered 2014 and the Polar Vortex came across parts of the US.
Although I don’t live in an area that received snow, we certainly hit below freezing which is extremely abnormal for North Carolina in January.
Having said that, I have had inquiries for another event so I’m pulling it together for this upcoming Saturday, january 18 at 5pm. If you’ve never crocheted before, please pick up thick yarn, either bulky or super bulky (grade 5 or 6 – it’s on the label), and a hook to go with it (it tells you on the label what hook to purchase.)
Several women have asked if it’s easy to make a cowl and the answer is yes! Use videos on YouTube by The Crochet Geek to help you get started and I can help you with questions when you get here.
Below are pictures of some of the items I’ve made so far this fall/winter season and some pictures from our last event.
Let’s have fun and don’t forget to bring a dish. We like to eat.
Happy Crocheting in 2014!
Shania J
